About Us - Life Support Family and Community Development
|
Elizabeth Lang Arthur is the founder and CEO of Life Support,
Inc. A non-profit organization that seeks to provide youth and family educational
services under the auspices of “train the Trainer” to the Pee Dee and surrounding
areas of South Carolina.
A core issue in empowering and uplifting African America families
from poverty is teaching them the knowledge and skills necessary to create stable,
committed, functional, and satisfying families. These are also key principles in
preventing other working and middle class families from slipping into poverty. Committed
individuals and couples produce committed families and committed families are the
backbone of a productive society.
Under the umbrella of Life Support Inc, Ms. Arthur was a catalyst for forming the
Pee Dee Family and Development Program, a coalition of 60, and growing, faith and
community organizations dedicated to promoting the importance of the family to the
development of healthy individuals and communities. She serves on the executive
committee as President. Contact Ms. Arthur at
